How much per head would you consider a brunch buffet to cost?

We're planning on having a morning ceremony followed by a brunch. We don't plan on having really heavy foods, since it's outdoors, but we're still wondering how much people would consider spending on a brunch buffet? We're looking at different places. We aren't going super-fancy, but we are looking at some good quality places.

Is $15 a good price, or should we expect more for quality? Less? Would $20 for breakfast options and light things like in-season fruits be ridiculous? (Wedding is in the Midwest)

$15 is a great price. My reception was at a small local resturant that had a seperate room, and I paid about that price.

Call around and see what various places charge. $20 sounds like alot. Then again, I don't know what all is being included in that. Is it a catered meal with china plates and such?

$15 per person is enough for a high quality brunch buffet in the Midwest.

The best thing to do is call around .. I think average price per person is $20.00. By the way you have your question worded it sounds like you are wanting your guests to pay for their own is this right??? If you are hosting an outdoor even you can have patries, fruit, maybe a waffle bar and that would not be too costly.

You really need to research the prices in your area. In my neck of the woods, anything $25 or less would be a good price, but in the midwest $15 could be a total rip-off.

Here in NJ just for a regular brunch its 25-40 a head and when you deal with wedding vendors just jack up the price. I am not sure in your area though.

I would say more like $30.00 a person. When they know that it is for a wedding they always jack up the price

I think $15 per person is good.

20 sounds like to much 15 sounds more reasonable
