What is the average amount people spend on their wedding decorations?

I have to do a report for my sociology class, and I have a marraige partner and everything. and i have the cost for my dress and rings and all that, and now im doing the decorations. i have no idea how much i should go about spending on all them. how much have you people who are married spent for the total on decorations?

I only spent $500, which was all flowers. I had my wedding at a bed and breakfast so that we didn't need any decorations. The ceremony was in the garden which needed minimal decorations we had rose petals down the aisle and a floral arrangement in the water fountain. The reception was inside so it didn't need any decorations.

OK, look at your budget. Take out the biggest expenses first and make sure you leave money for unexpected expenses and tipping. We probably spent about $500 on decorations but the reception hall provided some things. I would check wedding websites like theknot.com for a general idea of what some brides are doing.

as little as 200.00. at oriental trading.com and see if that helps
I spent 600.00 on 12 (8x16') tables and one 60' head table

my decorations are coming out to about $500.
- 2 arrangements for the ceremony area
- red rose centerpieces for each table in the reception area

our venue is really nice and doesn't need many decorations.

We are not spending any money on decoration because we think they are tacky.

But for you report purposes, decorations are usually streamers, paper bells and balloons. All of these can be bought at a dollar store. The amount needed depends on how much or little you want it to be decorated, the size of the hall, if you are decorating the church, etc.

Hope it helped.

There is a HUGE range! Some people spend very little on some candles and flowers, some spend $20,000 on everything from mirrors to cloth draping, huge bouquets and crystal chandeliers.

Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding feast.

On average: too much.

Elope! Then spend the money on your home!
