What are good colors for a mid-summer wedding? |
I am planning to be married in late July or May. I don't think dark red or dark blue is too appropriate for a summer wedding and none of my friends look amazing in bright colors. I'm not so sure that the groomsmen want to wear pink or yellow either. There are all sorts of shades of blue or green, those colours are generally more acceptable for men to wear, by that I mean they would more than likely feel more comfortable in blue or green than pink. Or use your favourite colour, and his favourite colour. Well... light blue is pretty, also purples and pinks. And for guys, white or brown, also for bridesmaid gowns, GO STRAPLESS. that looks so pretty. Ask your friends which colors they want, then make you decision. How about using 2 main colors. Butter Yellow and Lavender look great together. And just remember, the groomsmen don't get to pick the colors, that is your choice. If they have a problem wearing what you pick, maybe your fiance picked the wrong groomsmen. may-be purple or blackred or blackblue or a good idea take all colors put eatch other behind other see what u like the best and u will decide Go with pastels then. Men can wear a babyblue or light gray. Girls can wear a pink, lavender, mauve. The gray will go with all 3 colors for the girls. Lilac What about light colors or pastels? Desert Rose and Cream. Desert Rose is a muted mauvey-rose, not too bright or dark. Perfect for what you want. You can use hunter green for accents. I think the bright colors are really the best way to go, but you could also try pastels. Crisp white with light icy blue. BEAUTIFUL! how about a light violet colored dress? what do you think of peach and gray? hmmm, thats a tough one. I am thinking maybe pastel colors like yellow. I think red might be a little much, even though my sister pulled it off nicely in her wedding. might want to consider gold for the groomsmen and possibly a contrastign color like purple sashes with white dresses. just a few ides for you. Cornflower blue with daisys...sounds pretty! Just do white and black....very simple but classy! It would be extremely easy to decorate with simple colors. or do light pastels...if its an evening wedding it would be appropriate and classy to use just white and black...or add a accent color of red...i actually considered doing the color green...sounds strange but if its during the summer...there is always green every where anyway...use nature to decorate...i saw pictures in a bridal mag. and they used pine cones and grass in crystal vases to decorate the tables...looked awsome! for the ladies dusty pinks, creams, ivories, super light tans or light blues, etc. It would depend on the time of day. For an afternoon wedding, I would choose shades of lilac or pink and have the men wear grey. For an evening wedding, I love black and gold. |
