Is it possible to get married and start a family having a little income?

my fiance and i were planning to get married sometime next year. but we haven't saved that much yet. both of us were working but we earn a little, just enough for the two us. he was thinking of a civil wedding because it will take a long year to save for a church wedding.

As long as u love each other it shouldnt matter how big or small the wedding is, i only had a small wedding with just close friends and family there, if u look around and are willing to decorate u can just hire a hall for a reception the hall we got was only 50pounds to hire, just have a look around

Yes its possible. Have you thought of getting married privatley and having a small get together afterwards with immediate friends and family?

Yes. That is possible, but both of you should be mindful of your expenses starting at this stage, always remember to save for rainy days

I had a budget of $850.00,and I spent $700.00 so YES it can be done on a small budget. We didn't get married in a church, we were married in a gazebo, and had our reception in a pavilion near by. :) So have a wonderful day.

Is it possible to get married. Sure. You certainly don't need a big wedding to have a happy marriage. However, "love is all you need" is crap. You both have to have the same financial goals and ideas on spending or money will tear you apart -no matter how much or how little you have.

But I'd wait until you were a little more financially stable before starting a family. You can do it. That's not to say you have to be rich, or that you have to be making a lot of money, but enough to provide for the lifestyle you want your children to have and not be on public assistance. Kids want stability, and when you are worried about surviving, it creates a very unstable atmosphere.

And many people make do. But it would not be my choice. And now you have a choice.

Get married and set a goal - both job wise and savings wise. Maybe go back and get training for a better paying job - and then when you feel like you are doing just a little more than "getting by" - that's when you can think about a family.

It is possible to get married and start a family. I did. I have 4 children now with very low income. I think it doesn't matter. If u really want to get married and have kids that is your choice. My kids r now 15, 13, 11, and 9 and I still get by.

it's possible, just not a good idea. my friend did it and has to rely on the government for food and formula for the baby..kids are 10, 2, and 4 months. barely get by on rent since both work for minimum wage. they have to live in a real bad part of town, next to drug dealers and they always hear gun shooting so they can afford the rent. i don't like going to visit her there. getting just married is ok, don't bring kids into it until you have saved money.
