Why does my throat and stomach feel upset when I eat certain fruits?

It's this weird fuzzy feeling that really isn't pleasant. It's with things like canteloupe, avocado, and plums and other things. I like these things but I get this weird feeling in my throat when I eat them. Any answers?

You are probably allergic to them. My cousin is allergic to the mold that grows on melons, maybe you are too. Go to an allergist to get a scratch test for the fruits that make you feel funny.

It sounds like you may have an allergy to the pesticides used on commercially farmed foods. Try organic versions of them to see if you have the same reaction. If you react to the organic, you may have a problem with salycilates, which occur naturally on many fruits and veggies. The most common pesticides used on commercial produce all contain high amounts of MSG, which many people are allergic to. Just washing them will not remove all of the residue, as much of it is taken up into the flesh of the food. Be really cautious with any produce that you react to even if its organic-you may be allergic to the actual food, and it can worsen dramatically each time you eat it. What is a mild reaction one time, can turn deadly the next-a reaction known as anaphalaxis can be life threatening. Organic would be your best option to start with, then google for info on foods high in salycilates (or amines). Try keeping a food journal to see what symptoms you have within 36 hours of eating certain foods-that should give you a better picture of what food allergies you mights have. Most often, though, its the pesticide residues most people react to, and they do fine with organic. Good luck!

maybe your allergic to them, i would see a doctor

maybe you've got mild allergies to them.
you should get tested for them
