How much, do you think are people in the US informed about the inhumane life conditions?

of the animals at the LARGE INDUSTRIAL FARMS?
Would you say:

1. Insufficient
2. Sufficient
3. Well

-I am not a vegetarian
-I NEVER buy industrial meat, NEVER eat burgers
-I am not a member of any organization
-ONLY interested in improving life conditions for the animals at the big farms

First three answers:
Thanks. Good points.

it is definitely insufficient if peta and the rest would stop with the silly goofy stuff that just gets people mad they could educate the population. corporations that own these big farms will not change. there is to much profit for them. it is all about the all mighty dollar.

Most people's knowledge on the inhumane conditions is insufficient. When people buy a burger, they don't think about the animal it came from. They don't know that they were pumped with hormones, or that they lived in feces and urine. They don't connect a burger with a life. They only know that it tastes good to them. Their ideas of their meat are divorced from the actual animal it came from.

Number 3
Despite the claim by vegetarians/vegans/animal rights activists that most people are "uninformed" that is simply not true. In fact, there are more people working or associated with the animal industry than the total number of vegetarians/vegan n the US.
The one thing that the radical animal rights activists can't fathom is that most people reject their claims, theories, principles, "truths" etc etc. People do now how animals are treated. They just don't share the same bleeding heart sentiments of the radicals.

Rather than being "informed" or "uninformed," I think it's more a case of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," isn't it? Most people would rather not know, as knowing would mean possibly having to change their habits. It's easier to just stay blissfully unaware - safe and sound in your own little comfort zone.
