How is it considered "cruelty" to put animals in a dumpster if they're already dead?

It sounds a lot more like illegal disposal of biohazardous waste and not very cruel at all.

Krister, Interesting question.

Not sure if you are referencing something imparticular but here's one for you:

We have bird flu in the UK at the moment. I do notice that the newscasters talk about the scenes of loading trucks with dead animals as being "shocking".

We got the same with BSE and foot and mouth. People seem outraged about animals being shown dead on TV

Its as if its perfectly ok as long as they don't see it, as if they are in complete denial as to what happens in a slaughter house.

.....And there I think we have the route of many animal husbandry problems. People don't care so long as they can't see it.

In answer to your question, i don't think its cruel to put a dead body in a dumpster.

I wonder what peoples reaction woud be if I put a dead cows leg sticking our of my trash can. I bet some would find that shocking - but strangly the slab of steak inthe fridge is ok ?

its disrespectful, but not cruel.
its just like dumping your mom's corpse into the dumpster.

What does this have to do with Vegetarian/Vegan Food & Drink??

I don't consider it cruel. It is disrespectful to the animal that died, just as it would be if you were to die, and I threw your remains in a dumpster. Cremation for all! :)

It's not.

People, please get a grip.

No, it is not considered "cruelty" to put dead animals into a dumpster, because the animal is already "dead".

It depends on how the animals were killed in the first place and why you place them in the dumpster in the first place.

Placing a dead animal you found on the road in a dumpster is not cruel, now killing an animal yourself and then hiding it in a dumpster is, as it shows you have some notion that you knew was wrong.

I guess you've referring to the case against PETA in which 2 of its staff had been euthanasing animals (some of which were reported to have been healthy and could had been adotped) and then dumping of there bodies in a dumpster.

Oh course there is nothing cruel about dumping bodies in a dumpster and your right its a bio hazard, but as they say you have nothing to hide if you not done anything wrong. If those PETA staff had done nothing wrong then there are pently of places there one can depose of a body in a safer way rather than hide them away in a dumpster in some back alleyway.

The people that have an issue with that are the same people who think every shell of a living being should waste a nice plot of land for the next million years.

Personally, if I'm dead I really don't care what you do with my body. Not like I need it.

hey im susan and i had alot of dead pets and everytime they died i would die cuz im like a animal lover person when my firt pet died it was an macaw prrot the most special unique kinds of species when it died i buried it in my backyard next to a tree that he loved to go to when we let him out of the cage.

it cruel to thruogh an animal in the dumpster because what if one day you died would you like someone to through you in the dumpster and thats why they would burry and not through you in the dumpster it is a sign of respect

thanx

People only care if you put a dead dog, cat or domesticated animal in a dumpster. Eating and sh*tting other dead animals into a toilet is considered perfectly normal though. Human's are generally very strange creatures... try not to pay attention to what most of them consider 'cruelty' to be.

I don't think it is "cruelty" I mean they're dead no one can be cruel to them anymore. I personally wouldn't be comfortable disposing of my pet that way, but that's me. I have put other dead animals in the trash, like the birds and mice that my outdoor cat catches.
