What would you do with a basket of garden fresh tomatoes?

I just finished planing 24 tomato plants in my back yard garden, and this question came to mind.

I love eating them sliced with salt and pepper. I would also make homemade salsa and pasta sauce. You can mix them in with pasta salads or stuff them with stuffing and bake them. I would maybe try your hand at canning them for later.

I would definitely can some for the winter months, the rest could be turned into wonderful salads like a Capresi, Greek or just as they are with a bit of salt. Salsas, marinara's, pizza sauce!!!!!!! Stuffed tomatoes, grilled tomatoes, pizzas, juices, lasagnas, sun dried for the pantry, mixed tomato salad, sandwiches of all sorts, pasta salads, anti pasti plates, soups both hot and cold.....love tomatoes, are you planting a variety? I have a couple of heirloom tom plants myself......cant wait!!!!!

I would make lovely tomato sandwiches, bruschetta, salsa, tomato sauce, or a nice salad. A basket of tomatoes sounds like a wonderful proposition. All the hard work you did will be worth it in a few short weeks!

Make bruschetta.
Make a rustic Italian bread salad.
Tomato sandwiches.
Slice and eat.
Make some salsa.
Make homemade spaghetti sauce.
Gazpacho

Wow -- now I'm JEALOUS!!

Put them in spaghetti sauce

You could be a nice citzen you can give 12 to a nice neighbor and keep 12 to your self! Or you could make a sandwhich with them or a salad
