What're some good vegetarian foods to put on a grocery list? |
I'm mostly interested in snack ideas, lunch and breakfast ideas. I'm pretty picky, but open minded. I also enjoy meat alternatives, so if anyone has a favorite, please share! Hummous (chickpea spread for sandwiches), soy milk with vanilla or chocolate flavoring, quorn roast (if you can find it ..it tastes somewhat similar to turkey esp if you rub some veg oil and poultry seasonings on outside and wrap in foil before baking it), morningstar farms frozen Chik patties and other fake meats including fake bacon. THIS IS MY FAV SANDWICH, I TAKE HUMMOS,AND SPREAD ON TOASTED 7 GRAIN,LETTUCE,BEAN SPROUTS,CHEDDAR OR SWISS, 2 SLICES,THIN SLICE OF RED ONION,WITH PICKLE ON SIDE NAMASTE,PS MORNINGSTAR PRODUCTS ARE GREAT Avocado (big green ones are cheaper by amount of avocado your getting, but small ones are creamier but you have to wait for it to turn black, big ones are sweeter), bushs baked beans, pasta sauce, spaghetti squash, veggie dumplings, whole wheat bread, nuts, dried fruit, eggplant, seasonal fruits & veg on sale. Tikka fillets made from Quorn. Grapes, pumpkin seeds, pistachio nuts, sunflower seeds, little orange segments, apples, Tofu, Guava, Durian, Dragon fruit, banana, Bombay mix, Trail mix, fruit and nut mix, green mango slices and sugar chilli mix. Marmite spread and peanut butter.... I cud go on but.... Vegetarian food-This is yummy!It's not very much but it is a good vegetarian snack.Fresh spinach in a bowl with lime juice squirted on top and tomatoes on top,too!It is nutritious and delicious!
