What are your opinions on a VEGETARIAN diet? |
Is it healthy and what about the moral, spiritual reasons for vegetarianism. What do you folks think? A vegetarian diet provides everything your body needs. Meat is rotting flesh from the moment the animal is killed so it actually putrifies as your body tries to digest it. Definitely healthy. My mom has been doing it for decades and by now, she looks like my WAY younger sister. To make real spiritual advancement, there is no question that a vegetarian diet must be accepted, the unhealthy ingestion of dead animal flesh that is saturated with chemicals and preservatives is degrading. itll mess up your blood!!!!!!its not healthy!!!!!!!!!!! Hi, it is a way healthier diet and...morally, u shudnt be killing other beings to get food especially when you can be living on veg food...im jain (religion) and thats my outlook on it in short and simple terms i started about three weeks ago and lost 16 pounds and love it If you want to call yourself a vegitarian, then be a true vegetarian: No meat, chicken, or fish. I drink a protein shake and a fiber shake every day that it Vegan certified and they are great. They give me plenty of energy and have more nutritional value than you can imagine! contact me My opinion at the moment is very open as I have only been going out with a vegetarian for about 6 weeks. I my self am a meat eater, however I don't tend to eat meat every day and I am very interested by the vegetarian diet ( not to be converted ) as I very much doubt that I could give up smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs on toast or a rib eye steak ( the kind that moo's and almost walks off your plate ). I love to cook and have been thinking up recipes day. Having looked extensivly on the net I have come to the conclusion that you ( veggies ) really need to get some better recipes as the ones i have found are sooooo Boring! I have resorted to making my own up drawing from all the vegetables that I love and removing the meat and poultry parts to various dishes. Someone please put some recipes that a meat eater can at least share with his girl friend as there is no way that I will cook seperate meals for each of us. they suck All aspects of diet are improved dramatically with the absence of meat, everything from protein breakdown, cleansing of the body, to a 7-year minimum increase in life span are some of the many benefits. Aging is not as dramatic, the chances of cancer are severely lowered and the risk of heart disease is a fraction of those who eat meat. its really good I like the idea of it! A Vegeteraian diet if done properly which includes alot of fruit.. is one of the best diets! I went on a vegan diet when I was very sick with an immune system problem. It was strict but I recovered and now have a normal immune system. Then I went over to ordinary vegetarian with eggs and dairy. I gained weight and didn't feel quite so well but I felt pretty good. After a few years I decided I'd try eating some sushi to see if that had any effect on my low energy level. Yes it did, I felt stronger for weeks. Now I eat a vegetarian diet with a few eggs per week and minimum dairy, it doesn't agree with me. Sushi once a month. I've been a vegetarian all of my life and I am very healthy. You just have to make sure you get enough protein. Its good for you as it usually includes ample fibre. Take care to include sufficient protiens by way of pulses or milk etc. Also fres vegetables are usually rich in vitamins. i think its great, i tried being a total vegetarian for a little while but gave up due to lack of options and i am not a good cook!! i am sure its healthy though have no proof to back it. I read a lot of article and was quite upset with how the animals are kept before the were killed and it did put me off non-veg food morally too. You directly can not say veg. diet is healthy or not as compared to non veg. because both have ther good and bad points. Animal proteins are converted faster than veg and vitamins are more digestable from veg source. Where's the BEEF Couldn't do without my ration of meat. Tofu doesn't thrill me. I think Vegetarians are very strong people and the actual diet is ok and I think they lack one Amino Acid they should take in a pill supplement. Vegitarian is healthy if you have a source of protein and you get plenty of b vitamins. it is very very healthy to be a vegetarian, moral & spiritual reasons.. u will not be killing anlimals for your food. isn't it moral & spiritual ? when we can live happily with good health without killing animals for food why don't we do it ? be a vegetarian . it is good for u & for the meek animals like hen. goats . sheep who are harmless. to the mankind Just because you are vegetarian does not necessarily mean that you are lacking in nutrition. There are a number of foods and produce that you can obtain the nutritional value of meat and diary products from. And, there are number of different degrees of vegetarian. I know some vegetarians that anything but produce. I know some vegetarians that eat fish. I know some that drink milk and eat eggs. Live your life causing the least harm...don't need to eat animals to survive...so find an alternative. Do your homework, so you get the right nutrition...and smile alot. It's a great way to lose weight, but you're not getting the proper proteins. As long as you have protein, you should stay healthy. I'm not a vegetarian, but my neighbors are and they love it. If you want to be a vegetarian, great, but get protein or you won't have a balanced diet. This diet works! LOST 25 POUNDS AND NOT HUNGRY!? i believe it is more of a personal statement. sure it is healty but in my opinion nothing beats a rib eye grilled medium rare. if i dont eat someone else will. and i sure hate to waste food. It is unnatural, everything in our body from our teeth to our guts are meant for an omnivorous dieet, so eating everything. There are many animals that would never be alive in the first place if we didnt eat them. So ask yourself, if you had the option of not existing or having just any life and then be eaten, which would you choose? |
