Why would it be necessary for human beings to drink the milk of another mammal to be healthy?

A mother cow's milk is designed specifically for her calf; likewise, a human mohter's milk is designed specifically for a himan baby. Does the calf have to drink the human mother's milk to be healthy? If not, then why should a human being drink the milk of a cow to be healthy?

YAY finally someone asked!
Also consider that the cow's milk makes the calf grow at an exponential rate to grow to a point of weighing at least twice as much as a full-grown human. They wonder why they get fat??????
I quit drinking milk three years ago and haven't been sick since. Coinsidence?
AND THEN THE COWS DON'T DRINK IT ANYMORE AS ADULTS!!

Why do we?

It's really a question of supply and demand. I don't know how expensive it would be to harvest Human milk, but I bet it would be more than a cow's. Plus, a cow can produce more; again cutting cost.

People also might feel funny drinking the fluid of an unknown person. It's easier with an animal. (just like meat) Why do we eat cow meat and not human. It's just not right..

Obviously, you don't like milk. Well, I love milk and so do my children. We grew up drinking the milk from a neighboring farm with the cream on top. It was a treat. As we age, we don't need that much fat in our bodies and so I've now begun to drink skim milk. Milk is something that makes me feel good. I'll not give it up for anything. Everything in moderation is the best way. If you don't like it - don't drink it.

Well my sister once kept three kittens alive by feeding them her breast milk( in a saucer of course). When a woman cant or doesnt want to breast feed cows milk is the next best.

If you look at the world, a lot, perhaps a majority of the world is "lactose intolerant." People become intolerant after they grow up since they no longer require milk from the mother. Mainly those of Northern European decent are lactose tolerant due to consumption of dairy over generations. They gained the mutation that allows lactose tolerance. So it isn't necessary.

Milk will keep you healthy but not drinking milk won't kill you. Milk from most mammals provide nutrients to help young develop into healthy adults and since we can't create farms for pregnant women, we drink cows milk. It's good for you, it provides calcium for strong teeth and bones. But the opposite is not true, not drinking milk is not unhealthy. Ask anyone who is lactose intolerant.

Sounds like you already know the answer to this one...
It isn't.
(necessary for humans to drink the milk of another mammal to be healthy, that is)

My belief is milk even cows milk is healthy for you when you are growing but once you get older the benefits of dairy decrease.

Beyond a certain age it isn't necessary to drink milk at all. However, in early stages of life, there is no perfect substitute for all the benefits an infant gets from suckling on its mother.

cows are used for a specific reason....MILK......they produce huge amounts of it....now imagin a farm full of females with huge pumps on the brests.....the pumps wil work overtime to produse only 2 litres of milk and a cow i think can give 5 ore more...now imagin how many wonan wil be needed to produce milk fo say a town of 100 000 inhabitants for only one day..........quite a bit dont you think??????
