How to become a Vegan, and learn to substitue?

I want to become a stirct Vegan and even leave out animal-made products, but I find it hard to buy things and later on find out that a bit of it is still animal made eg: bought salad with dressing with mayo=animal made.

Is there a website that gives examples of food types to be bough, extra for vegans?

Or cake, made of eggs and milk=animal-made!

There is a bit of a learning curve. Buying products ready made vs make it yourself. Also lots of label reading, & buying products that are specially made. There are a ton of companies out there that are not in your main stream market that are vegan or at least veggie.
Wholefoods, Local Health Food Stores, Trader Joes, some grocery stores have an area just for specialty foods. Organic, Vegan,Gluten, Dairy Free etc.

go to:
peta.com it shows you recipies, vidios, products, and it shows you that going vegitarian is the right choice

Read books and do research. It's easier if you just try to avoid packaged stuff and stick to whole foods like legumes, grains, nuts, veggies etc.

It's really easy, you just have to have the desire. You can subsitute anything using soy milk, egg replacer (a powder in a box in the organic section), and vegetable oil based margarines.

Organic sections of grocery stores have plenty of vegan products. Bookstores have many vegan cookbooks as well.

Do some research or talk to some vegans.

Check out the websites I listed below.

go and see someone who is a vegan and ask for advice
