Is it okay to drink tea if you are a raw foodists?

I want to make some herbal tea, but I am a raw foodists. Can raw foodists still have tea? Is it okay to bend the rules just to have some tea?

LoraBaby, what a hateful response. I have reported you.

Tea is naturally dried not roasted like coffee. Yes you have to boil the water but still the tea is steeped not cooked. I am Raw & do tea. I am sure there are some who don't but for me a nice "cuppa" can solve the problems of the world.

Slaint茅 (to your health)

yes, but you have to cold brew it.

Oh for pete's sake have a cup of friggin tea....

What the hell is a "raw foodist" is this another way for kids to piss off parents by making radical food demands?

I think tea is a drink, not a food. Unless you chew your tea, I think you will be fine.

Is it okay by whom?.Can't you decide for yourself or do you feel you need permission.Gosh some people put such ridiculous conditions on themselves then seek approval to break a self inflicted rule. For crying out loud HAVE A CUP OF HERBAL TEA.No one is going to strike you down for it.

Put it in your juicer.

What on earth is a raw foodist? Surely you aren't foolish enough to think it's healthy to eat nothing but raw foods?
As for the tea - you can make sun tea. Get a clean quart jar with a lid. Fill it with clean water, put in four teabags and put the lid on. Let it sit in the sun - putting it on a windowsill inside the house where the sun shines will do fine. If you want real STRONG tea, let it sit there for 8 hours - less time gives you less strong tea. Pour over ice, sweeten it however you like (or not) and guzzle away. Or fill a cup from the jar and heat it in the microwave.

You'll just have to drink water and eat the leaves. Or you could start a new category: raw-food-but-cooked-drinkists.

By your own rules - no you cant.

tea making relies on the infusion of the herb in boiling water, therefore you are technically cooking the herb and it will no longer be raw.

no, but you can chew on the tea bag

I take it you have just started on this way of eating then? Have what ever you like if you want a hot drink then have one think of it this way you are only extracting the goodness and herbal benefit from the herbs.

well i don't see why not! its a drink not a food. there isn't a law against drinking the herbal tea, you could bend the rules. its all up to you? BTW one question what is a raw foodist ? can you only eat raw food or something if so what meat do you eat?...x

I would be able to answer this if i could stop laughing for a minute, Raw Foodist, what the hell is that, another PC word that has no meaning........

yea... don't tell porkies.

Honestly, I have no idea because I believe you can only eat raw food that is below a certain temperature.... right. Well then why couldn't you if you could brew it at a temperature that was below the foodist maximum?

Gee... thanks for the thumbs down... I'll still give you a thumbs up.... wait... that's not a thumb.

If you are a true raw foodist you would know the answer to this question.

Oooh "hateful" - oooh! Muppet, muppet, muppet - to quote Monty Python your mother was a warthog, your grandmother smells of elderberries I wave my private parts at you & fart in your general direction ...... MUPPET!!!!

The important thing is to be happy!
By the way do you know there is yahoo group?

Do raw and living foodists drink tea?
Some living and raw foodists will drink SUN TEA, which is tea brewed by the power of the Sun. Teas that contain boiling water are not considered raw. Many teas that are purchased in the store may have been processed at temperatures above 118 degrees. The best way is to grow your own herbs and dry them at a low temperature, and use them for sun teas.

See I am being helpful now.

Isn't it funny that you insult me for being a meat eater and 'laugh in my face' and call me a 'murderer, unhealthy and of lower intelligence' but I can actually provide the information to you that you can't be bothered or are not intelligent enough to look up yourself.
If you want to cheat on your new found diet then go ahead but don't insult anyone else as it makes you a hypocrite.

who is beating you up?
who is causing this stress?
who has made the rules for you to eat by?
WHY do you even think we even care what you do in your closet.

Who cares. If you want tea, have tea. Nobody is going to arrest you or send you to hell .

Bend the rules? Not you Ashley, anyone else can, but you.

Stop sugar coating your raw foodism with cooked tea leaves and practice what you preach.

Muppet.

Ashley, run away and hide behind a new account. No one takes you seriously anymore, you've been caught telling too many porkies.

Mary-Kate, or is it Jessica?

Last time I checked, tea was cooked. Troll.

Hey Ashley, I reported you.
