How many grams of protein can I consume at once? |
I am looking to add more protein into my diet. When I was young and just had become a vegetarian, I started to drink whey protein shakes. I was told take a certain amount because your body can only absorb so much protein at one time. How many grams of protein can I consume in one sitting, before my body can no longer process it? 40 to 60 grams daily and it should be complete protein. You can get protein from seeds, nuts, some fruits, and legumes. That is impossible to answer it is independent for each person. Your metabolism, body size, muscle structure, excercise routine, daily lifestyle, quantity of caloric intake from other sources, age, etc. are all factors to be considered. You do know that whey isn't considered vegetarian friendly? |
