Can somebody tell me some tips on becoming a vegetarian?

I'm been thinking of becoming a vegetarian for awhile. I don't like the taste of meat that much and I believe it to be cruel to all the animals.

okay well i'm a boarderline vegan
so i should be able to help!

first of all go to this website:
www.goveg.com
just look around
theres alot of helpful stuff!

also make sure you have enough protien
alot of vegitarians make the mistake of not getting enough protien and that leads to health issues
so take protien supplements daily!

soy is a great replacement for meat!
its full of protien and other nutrients.

now telling your parents is the hard part
just be prosistant
and don't give in!
once they see you're serious they will support you!

on the www.goveg.com site
you can order a free vegetarrian starter kit
it has everything you need to start your vegetarian lifestyle!

plus if you ever have any questions
just contact me!

Hey i'm still trying out to be vegan too (i live with my mom only and she's vegan so whatever she makes i eat haha)

But what i did/would do is like first pick out all the things you like that doesn't have meat.
Then like next time you go grociery shoping try looking for like subsitutes like...hm...BOCCA BURGERS!
no meat but taste's good.

and you know just find stuff like that

If you are trying to be a pure vegetarian(no meat including eggs). Make sure you consume variety of vegetables, and fruits to get all of you amino acids(in meat you get them all in one).
From Wikkipedia:
"They suggest that vegans and vegetarians eat at least three servings of vegetables a day, including dark green, leafy vegetables such as broccoli, and dark yellow and orange such as carrots; five servings of whole grains (bread, rice, pasta); three of fruit; and two of legumes (beans, peas, lentils)."

I don't know too much about vegetarians but I hope this helps.

step 1- dont eat meat...lol
