What are the best and cheapest vegetarian food choices available at walmart? |
what are the best and cheapest vegetarian food choices available at walmart? i need like examples of food names,etc. please im newly becoming a vegetarian and i need help. Beans and rice. walmart carries Morning star (it's green) they have "crumblers" (about 2.50 or so) which is like ground meat. It's good for tacos, pasta, whatever.. i like bocca burgers (in red boxes), these are for burgers, they are usually 3.00 for a box which has 4 patties in them. But I've also made meatballs and meatloaf using the patties. The morning star sausage patties are soooooo good too! these are about 2.50 or as well and chicken patties, great for chicken parm, or sandwiches.again same price.. Morning star also carries nuggets which are yummy as well. the pack only has 12-15 nuggets but these are good as is, or to add to salads. or baked poataoes. Fruit , vegetables, dried grains(oats, rice, etc), dried or canned beans. Soymilk, tofu, Quorn, Morningstar Farms, Bocca burgers (last 3 in the frozen food section). I'm a vegetarian and my favorite vegetarian brand is Morning Star. They have chik'n nuggets, fake sasuage patties, and corn dogs among other things. Another brand that I like, and possibly the most common, is Boca. I know that you can find both of these at Target and I really doubt that they wouldn't have them at WalMart. They are both pretty inexpensive. Hope I helped! Go to Trader joes for organics and the some markets carry a brand called Amy's, completely vegan. I work for Albertsons so I know this for a fact. Some whole food markets carry them, depends on where you live. I'm sure you can find stuff at Wal-Mart - but why would you want to? They're a totally awful corporation. There are soy and palm wax candles available. Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct, so technically vegan I guess, but definitely not as clean-burning as natural plant waxes. ...I think for as long as the West has been populated there have been people that didn't eat meat at all (for whatever reasons - not liking taste, didn't like seeing animals die, etc). There... It's just, you know, the Outdoors on them. Leave anything outside for a while, and it'll get rained on, dusted by wind, pollen, earth, bleached by the sun, etc. Organic apples are wash... I was vegetarian for years, and then I moved to Spain. It was 15 years ago and I was treated like a complete alien. Every mealtime was an adventure. At first I stayed with my husbands family and ... I usually go once to the farmer's market weekly and spend (for myself) around $40. I also go to local stores that carry organic products (i.e. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's) and spend maybe ... 1st off "meat eaters" are not murderers we are survivors as humans we are at the top of the food chain we choose to eat meat.
