Why is it legal to kill an animal but not humans & we r animals 2?

Why is it bad to abuse your pet, but not to brutally kill an animals, chop of its head & tear off its limb & mince it to pieces so you can have a plate of sphagetti & meatballs?

Most people think human beings are higher 'beings' than animals not realising we are just another mammal. Most people don't think 'lower animals' deserve the right of dogs, cats, elephants and human beings. We are all animals and we are all equal. Having said that, given the chance, a hungry tiger would kill a human being and that's natural for the tiger, not many people are capable of killing an animal, but have no problem paying someone else to do it for them. I don't want to kill them for their meat and it's a personal choice.

It is not legal to kill some animals. For example, if an American were to kill a dolphin...

Also, it is legal to kill humans. For example, Americans are killing al Queda, Taliban, and Iraqi civilians in the hunt for terrorists and other misfits.

It is wrong to kill any Animal , Fish or Insect ! A life is still a life !

It's not the matter of being legal. think about other animal..they also kill to survive.. but of course we overdo it for example to get clothes or for vivisection :(

It's culture but it's mostly here in the americas, we need to eat as well. In some places people do still eat people but that's sick and we are apart of the food chain but we're more on the top then at the bottom. All animals have feelings but some people as long as you pray for your meals and thank that the animal has given you something to eat it's okay and that's what i believe. It's all culture but we're all going to be eaten anyways so some people just don't care. But in some cases it is legal to kill another like self defense or anything of that sort, and some animals are bred for that way if we didn't eat them other animals would. But all animals do need to be treated with some respect anyways no matter what.

How about the death penalty. Last time I checked, that was still legal in some places...

This question has always baffeled me.

I know that in some cases, someone with the charges of animal abuse can get more time than someone who abuses their wife. It really depends on your probation officer though. My mom is the kind of probation officer that will reccomend a lot of time for animal abuse.

Some animals are raised to be slughtered. It's absolutely horrible.

It is not legal to kill animals. But certain animals are reared for food and they are allowed to be killed in a better way slaughtered. Human beings need to eat flesh of animals, you are feeling it bad because, we are now reformed. Because of education, society and so on. The early age of human being I would like to say, that is the stone age human being killed animals and ate them to survive like other animals in the Jungles. The system continued and few out of them turned out to be pure vegeterians. In the stone age also human beings had pets and they did not kill them instead they used them to assist them in their hunts. All are not pure vegetarians. They still need to eat spagetti and meatballs.

Well if you're talking about the killing of cattle for food well ... WE NEED TO EAT! But killing, harming or neglecting animals just for the fun of it is a federal offence and can land you in jail.
