Can some people please convince me to become a vegetarian?

I want to become a veggie, but im not really motivated to. Can someone motivate and convince me please for the good of all living things?

http://www.farmsanctuary.org/issues/fact...

Did you check out the Peta website? A bit graphic but the facts will be much more convincing then anyones opinion. Good Luck-I'm a vegi and it's not always easy but it's worth it in my opinion.

"Meet your meat"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIjanhKqV...

Ever since I watched this, I havent touched a single piece of meat.

Meat can raise your cholesterol and those cute little faces really shouldn't be harmed
To start out why don't you eliminate beef from your diet then pork a few months later then chicken a few months after that. That way you can find replacements for your protein, like tofu and boca burgers and beans and legumes. A stop at a local health foods store might get you inspired.

First and foremost, think about the animals. Thousands upon thousands of animals are tortured and killed all so that you can have a hamburger, chicken nugget, etc. Chickens are often hung by their toes, their throats slit, and thrown--sometimes still alive-- into a vat of boiling water to remove their feathers. The pain and suffering these animals endure for our sake is horriffic, especially when you consider that we have plenty of other food sources.

Secondly, think of the environment. It takes 16 pounds of soy to produce one pound of beef. The amount of cows that are being mass-farmed creates a huge problem of waste, and raises the question of where to put it. More often than not it ends up in streams, rivers, lakes, etc nearby. Besides that, consider the amount of fuel energy it takes to produce the soy and wheat products these cows are fed. Once killed, it creates even more gas emissions when the meat is cut, packaged, and transported to a butcher shop near you.

If your heart is not really in it, nothing I can say will convince you.

If your heart is not really in it, you won鈥檛 last very long as a vegetarian.

Although if you download & watch 鈥淢eet your Meat鈥?off the internet, your heart will soon get into it!

.

Being a vegetarian is great! You will look and feel better. Meat is all full of chemicals and other perservatives, which are not good for your body. Also veggie food has little to no cholesterol. There are soy products, and some do taste like the real thing. If you do more research you can find out about other things. Also check out peta2.com for what to eat.

Hope this helps :]. And Good luck!

ALSO! Being a vegetarian can make you live 7-10 years longer. Of course with a healthy lifestyle. And this is a scientific fact.

Watch the slaughterhouse videos. Meet Your Meat is what got me to get rid of chicken, that was the meat I had a hard time giving up. After I saw how those chickens looked, the cages they had to live in, their beaks being cut off I was done. I didn't make it past the turkeys, I was getting sick but I am sure the cow and pig parts of that video are even worse than the chickens. There are over 50 billion farm animals killed every year for meat, becoming a vegetarian would only save a few from ever having to be born, but it is worth it:) You could do like I did and cut out meat slowly, I did red meat and pork then gave up the chicken and turkey. Good luck in your decision.

The food is FANTASTIC.

If you learn to cook veggie food and do it well, you'll never want to go back to meat.
