Can some people please convince me to become a vegetarian? |
I want to become a veggie, but im not really motivated to. Can someone motivate and convince me please for the good of all living things? http://www.farmsanctuary.org/issues/fact... Did you check out the Peta website? A bit graphic but the facts will be much more convincing then anyones opinion. Good Luck-I'm a vegi and it's not always easy but it's worth it in my opinion. "Meet your meat" Meat can raise your cholesterol and those cute little faces really shouldn't be harmed First and foremost, think about the animals. Thousands upon thousands of animals are tortured and killed all so that you can have a hamburger, chicken nugget, etc. Chickens are often hung by their toes, their throats slit, and thrown--sometimes still alive-- into a vat of boiling water to remove their feathers. The pain and suffering these animals endure for our sake is horriffic, especially when you consider that we have plenty of other food sources. If your heart is not really in it, nothing I can say will convince you. Being a vegetarian is great! You will look and feel better. Meat is all full of chemicals and other perservatives, which are not good for your body. Also veggie food has little to no cholesterol. There are soy products, and some do taste like the real thing. If you do more research you can find out about other things. Also check out peta2.com for what to eat. Watch the slaughterhouse videos. Meet Your Meat is what got me to get rid of chicken, that was the meat I had a hard time giving up. After I saw how those chickens looked, the cages they had to live in, their beaks being cut off I was done. I didn't make it past the turkeys, I was getting sick but I am sure the cow and pig parts of that video are even worse than the chickens. There are over 50 billion farm animals killed every year for meat, becoming a vegetarian would only save a few from ever having to be born, but it is worth it:) You could do like I did and cut out meat slowly, I did red meat and pork then gave up the chicken and turkey. Good luck in your decision. The food is FANTASTIC. |
