How can people who eat fish call themselves Vegetarian? |
Fish are made of meat and bones, like the rest of us. Because somewhere along the way the term pesci-vegetarian was coined and people thought, ok, that's me. I don't know. For some reason sea food is viewed as different than animals that live on land. Fish, clams, shrimp, eels, etc are all part of the animal kingdom. A vegetarian does not eat anything in the animal kingdom. Therefore someone who eats fish is not a vegetarian, even if they say they are. In all reality if you eat fish you are definately not a vegetarian. I beleive the myth stems from the fact that some people give up meat consumption for lent, but are still allowed to consume fish. no when you eat fish it is called a semi vegetarian..you can look it up in any vegen or vegetarian book. they want a label? They think fish do not feel pain but that is not true! If they eat fish they are not a vegetarian! Fish are animals! like sea otters,dolphins and etc. So they have no idea they're eating meat when they are! Go to fishinghurts.com! no its not neg but eat b coz religious say well, vegetarians don't eat fish. those who eat fish are not vegetarian, they're just saying that because they're craving to be labeled as one. sad but true. I have not got a clue. That's why I get annoyed at Auntie Liz who eats fish and calls herself a Vegetarian. She's not. I don't eat anything that had legs or wings. I do, occasionally eat fish. It is because fish are less intelligent than most mammals. |
