Do vegans use all vegan products including make-up and hair care?

I am using a vegan product for my entire family called Arbonne. They are a 100% vegan and their products are totally environmentally safe. I use their skin care, baby products, hair care, vitamins, shave cream, weight loss program and their spa products as well. I am a sales rep for the company now, and would like to market and cater to the vegan community since it is close to my heart. Any feedback?

Vegans try to use all vegan products, obviously. With regard to cleaning products and personal care items, it can be a challenge to those who have limited resources and don't have a Whole Foods nearby.
Veganism is an ideal. It's about doing what you can.

Truth is that when you think about it, veganism is idealistic not realistic. Animals always suffer in some way as a side effect of our modern agricultural practices. Think about how animals are displaced by farmland. Habitats are degraded by the harvesting of natural resources. Even somebody who only drinks green tea is responsible for creating a demand that required tea harvesters to kill insects that would have degraded the tea plants.

There are many degrees of vegan oriented lifestyles. A lot of people just apply concepts to their diets. I think that wealthier people tend to go for the all natural and vegan cosmetics since they do tend to cost a lot more. I personally stick to a mostly vegan diet and do invest regularly in vegan shampoo body soap, and dish soap. My other motives for buying these is that they were 1) not tested on animals 2) biodegrade more readily than conventional detergents and 3) tend to be easier on my skin.

My ex used to buy makeup from a line called MAC (apparently all vegan), but let me tell you, if I were a woman I certainly wouldn't have spent that kind of cash on vegan makeup. It can be criminally expensive.

Yes, I use vegan cosmetics, skin care, and hair care products. I'm a bit of a "Lushie" (fan of Lush Handmade Cosmetics). I also like a company called Pangea Organics. J/A/S/O/N is another good company. There are a number of companies that have vegan makeup, which I usually buy from vegan websites.

And let me explain: There's a difference between saying I like this company's products and saying I'm a rep for this company. I have no connection with any of the companies listed above except as a satisfied customer.

I only buy cosmetics and personal care products that are on PETA's list of companies that don't test on animals. Arbonne is on the list, so you could position the company's products as cruelty-free and PETA-approved.

I don't really know about other vegans, but I'm more concerned about whether a product is tested on animals than whether all of the ingredients are vegan. I prefer vegan products, but don't spend a lot of time worrying about hidden animal ingredients.

I only use vegan products which are checked out by the vegan society and printed in their "animal free shopper".
