Is Maruchan brand Oodles of Noodles Flavoring Vegetarian?

I know the noodles wouldn't be a problem, but the packets of flavoring that come with the noodles I have my suspicions about. Does it contain meat, or is it just a creative blend of herbs and seasonings?

The only vegan ramen is Top Ramen Brand Oriental flavor. The rest of them have meat broth in the seasoning, even Maruchan Oriental flavor.

If you like ramen, give Thai Kitchen noodles a try...they're much lower in fat, calories and sodium and made from gluten-free rice noodles.

It depends on the flavoring. For example, the chicken flavoring has chicken powder in it. I don't know how strict of a vegetarian you are, but it's all along that lines. I know the only one that doesn't have ANY animal byproducts is the oriental flavored. And MAN, is that good! :)

I'm not sure on that one, but if you're looking for a veg instant noodle, I think it's Cup 'O Noodles (or it could be another brand, but I'm pretty sure this is it) that makes a vegetable flavor instant noodle and it says on the package "Vegan. Contains No Meat. Contains No Animal Product." It took me forever to find them, and a lot of stores don't carry it. But if you ask, they will. But I know they're out there! We got our neighborhood Fred Meyers to carry it, and it was well worth it. They're really tasty. :-)

i was just looking at the package now cause i wanted to know the same thing and i didnt see anything wrong with the chicken flavor but the noodles are made with milk ingredients, so if youre vegetarian its okay but if your a die hard vegan maruchan chicken noodles are NOT vegan.

yes. the main flavoring for the packets are herbs, certain flavors and monosodiumglumate(MSG). no meat products.
