What can I put in scrambled tofu to make it taste better? |
This was my first time making scrambled tofu. It tastes okay, but how can I make it taste better? I crumbled some firm tofu and added salt, pepper, garlic powder, and seasoned salt. I also thew in some Smart Bacon. I'm about to rock your world. Go get something called nutritional yeast. It comes as these little yellow flakes that dissolve easily. Mix yeast, soy sauce, your favorite mustard, and vegan mayonnaise(i.e. nayonnaise) with your tofu in a low to medium-heated pan. Chop up or scramble tofu as desired. I call it tofu eggs. Fantastic. When I make scrambled tofu, I first saute some diced onions, carrots, bell peppers (all colors), and zucchini. In a bowl I crumble the tofu, add salt, pepper, turmeric, and curry powder. I put the tofu in the pan with the veggies and heat through. When just about done, I add veggie sausage and sprinkle veggie cheese on top. http://www.theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/... Add some black salt and it will taste like egg salad. chopped raw nuts and ground cayenne pepper.. you cant make tofu taste better. or it wouldent be tofu. |
