Is there such thing as a vegetarian that only eats fish as meat? |
If so, what is the name? that is a pesco-vegetarian. If you eat eggs too that is called a pesco-ovo vegetarian... there are plenty out there. As my dad puts it he only eat cold blooded animals :) i don't think there is a name for it but it is very common and there is no reason you cant call yourself a vegetarian They are called pescetarians. And are incredibly common. there's a plant that eats meat but not fish Actually, I think most vegetarians dont consider fish as meat, which has always baffled me. A friend of mine is a vegetarian and he has a bumper sticker on his car that says "I don't eat anything with eyes". We wonder if he eats potatoes, they get eyes, lol. They're Japanese. srry you arent a vegetarian I am a 13 year old vegitarian and I eat fish. I will probably stop when I stop growing; my mom just says I need my protein. no not really You're a pescetarian. Pescetarian: Similar to vegetarian, but also consumes fish. (often is a person avoiding factory-farming techniques...) See also pseudo vegetarian. They aren't vegetarians, they are pescetarians (or pescatarians and piscivores, all the same thing). Pescetarians don't eat any animal that DOESN'T come from the water, which means they don't eat animals like cow, chicken, pig, etc., but they do eat animals like fish, octopus, oysters, etc. This question gets asked a lot here in V&V and I am sorry to say that, no, you cannot be considered a vegetarian if you eat any meat at all. Eating fish is no different. If you want to be a vegetarian then why not just give up the fish? yes, those who have the need for protien will eat fish at times. Its so they stay healthy eats animals = not vegetarian. pesscitarean It's a type of vegetarianism, but it is not veganism. There is a name for it. I put an article link below that explains all the different types of vegetarianism. yes, its called a pescatarian "Actually, I think most vegetarians dont consider fish as meat, which has always baffled me."- mrr86 Yeah, there is. Your a carnivore. Yes, most of the world's vegetarians are NOT "strict" vegetarians. They usually eat some fish or poultry or combination of both. In other cultures they are referred to simply as "vegetarians". For some reason here in the West we need to use terms like "pesco-vegtarians" or the more popular and upcoming group ... "flexitarian vegetarians". Some vegetarians don't care to eat fish because they are not tortured like cows, chickens, and pigs are. People aren't vegetarian because they don't like meat they are that way because they don't want animals to suffer. I don't think so. no! vegetarians don't eat fish. You are not a vegetarian if you eat any kind of animal flesh. That includes fish. that would be a pescatarian. Yeah! You can be a vegetarian and only eat fish as a meat. I've heard of people that do that. I'm not sure what the name is... your a vegetarian. there is a name, but your not true vegatarian. if your not eating meat cause its cruel, dont the fish feel the pain too??? its eat my dick |
