What is your favorite thing about Hug a Vegetarian Day?

Happy Hug a Vegetarian day.

My husband is very aware of today's big events! So his "hug" will definitely lead into more so that he can brag about doing a vegetarian on hug a vegetarian day! I know TMI, but he has declared this!!

For all seriousness, aside from my kids, I only personally, in the flesh, know two other vegetarians that live cross country! So all the hugs I send out are cyber! And this is my first time celebrating, though last year at this time I was a vegetarian, without knowledge of such a day!!

i never celebrated this day before and i'm sick today so i can't hug any vegetarians and no vegetarian can hug me either.

It gives me reason to throw a large dinner party. Not that I ever need a reason, just people get more excited when there is a reason.

I am having twelve friends over for a vegan dinner party on Saturday. It is an organized potluck dinner, and we all must try at least one new recipe.

I am making a vegan Lasagne, some vegan pies, and pesto stuffed portobellos with roasted walnuts.

This is going to be a great meal with hugs a'plenty, and hopefully some great recipes to add to my collection.

no, actually have never heard of it.... but it is nice.... I would like it because maybe some of their healthiness would rub off on me .....

I've been around the fields hugging our vegetarian sheep and cows, some gave me funny looks, some ran away, some gave me a big grassy burp, someone walking past phoned the police.
