Is there a way to make homemade funnel cakes without eggs?

Is there a way to make homemade funnel cakes without using eggs?

I want to make homemade funnel cakes for my family but all of the recipes contain eggs. I am a vegan and wanted to know if there is a way to make homemade funnel cakes withouth the use of eggs?

You can use Ener-G Egg Replacer, Here is a vegan funnel cake recipe I found for you =)

1 1/3 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 Tbsp sugar
3/4 tsp baking powder
Ener-G Egg Replacer equal to 1 egg
1 1/3 cups soy milk (or whatever kind you have)
1 tsp vanilla
oil, for frying

Mix up egg replacer, add soy milk and vanilla. In separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients and mix. You should have a batter about the same consistancy as pancake batter so it will flow easily through the funnel.

Fill 8" skillet with 1" oil and heat to 375 degrees. A smaller electric skillet works great for this - keeps the temp. even but whatever you have will work fine.

Cover funnel hole with finger and fill with about 1/4 cup of batter. Hold funnel over skillet and remove finger, moving the funnel around back and forth or in a spiral - you want the batter to stick together so don't spread it out too much or you won't be able to flip it in one piece.

Fry 1-2 minutes on each side, turning with tongs, until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar. Serve hot!

Just don't had eggs. to David W, eggs are chicken embryos like fetus are humans.

I see lots of egg substitute for people who are allergic to egg calls Egg free in dairy section in the grocery store.. I ts hard to make a cake without any eggs in it because egg works like to rise it up. Without it, the cake will be flat like pancake. I never try anything without egg substitute or egg. I use the egg substitue to everything when I make the meals as my little cousin comes over as she has to eat lots foods that are wheat- gluten free and diary free. I never try anything in baking desserts without either of them before and you may prove me wrong.

just use a vegan egg substitute that you can get from the grocery, also you can typically use tofu

You can make a delicious funnel cake with 3 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix the dry ingredients add the vanilla and enough water to make a pourable batter then pour thorough a funnel into oil at 350 F.

just dont put the eggs in!

There may well be. Google search to find vegan respires.

eggs are not meat....
