Is it safe and healthy to completely cut out honey, sugar, sweeteners, salt and all seasonings out of my diet? |
Are there any bad side effects? any health problems? I will say that it is safe as long as you discuss your plan with your primary physician. My only concern is the salt (and other chemical components added), since your body does have needs and every person is an individual with regards to salt needs. Your doctor will probably tell you that your plan is great and indeed healthy. Honey is a good alternative to sugar because it sweetens your food and baking. It is high in calories, but it has nutrition and health benefits, unlike refined sugar. It is a good idea to cut refined sugar (dark, raw, unprocessed sugar or cane sugar has more health benefits) from your diet. Also sweeteners, since they can be chemical laced and proven to have adverse effects on the body. Instead of just dropping salt, switch to sea salt and use herbs (dried or fresh) as opposed to seasonings with MSG or sodium. I don't think you will have health problems if you simply drop all those things from your diet, but I think your food will lack flavor and your body will crave them, which will frustrate you. Instead of cutting stuff out, maybe look for healthier alternatives instead. Any thing you should not cut out eating or eating too much. It is not healthy eating too much sugar, sweeteners and salt. But you should take salt in minimum quantity. But you can take honey as much as you like. It is so healthy for human body. If you take less salt then the sodium levels in your body will be reduced and will get numbness. If you want to avoid sugar, that will be a good idea but instead of that you should take honey. Honey is a very nutritious food forever. You will get enough natural sugar from fruit and digested starches. The only thing I'd be concerned about is salt. If you do a lot of work outside in the summer you could run low on it. Being sick to one's stomach can rob the body of salt too. none of those listed are needed for health. they just make food taste a bit better. with the possible exception of salt, which usually is iodized. we need iodine in our diets. you'd just have to eat foods that have naturally occurring iodine. You are probably healthier if you don't eat these things, as they have no positive effects on your health whatsoever. In fact, they are generally very bad for you, especially salt, sugar, and sweeteners. Yeah, but your food won't have as much flavor. I think that honey and seasonings are pretty harmless and actually support healthy living. And salt is something you need, not a lot but you do need some every day. Maybe cutting out salt would be harmful....but jeez, who would want food with no taste? What's the point? |
