How do I order a vegetarian meal in French?

I am leaving for France tomorrow, I'm a vegetarian (no fish), and I'm pregnant (so soft cheeses are out too). Anyone know how I could phrase this when ordering food? I really appreciate it.

Je voudrais commander un repas v茅g茅tarien.
I would like to order a vegetarian meal

Est-ce que cela contient les fromages 脿 p芒te molle ?
Does that contain soft cheeses?

Je suis d茅sol茅 mais je ne mange pas de la viande avec mes repas.
I'm sorry but I do not eat meat with my meals

Je suis enceinte et ne peux pas manger des fromages 脿 p芒te molle
I am pregnant and cannot eat soft cheeses.

Hope these help!!

I would advise you to go to 100% vegetarian restaurants only, because if you are speaking French for the first time, sometimes you mix up the vowel sounds, and your order could be misinterpreted by the wait staff. This way you are assured that you are not being served any meat (or fish); if you want to go vegan, French restaurants' menus often say if an entree is vegan (no cheese, no eggs, no dairy).

I am attaching a link to a restaurant directory for such restaurants in France (Paris is on the second page). I hope this helps.

Good luck, enjoy your trip, and congratulations on your baby!

I don't speak French very well. But one thing you can do is to do a web search for "instant translation" and use one of the sites you find there to translate the phrase "vegetarian meal" to French - and you should be off and running. Best thing about it, the instant translation sites are free.
