What did your body go through when you changed to vegetarianism?

I'm new to being a vegetarian I wonder what other people went through when they changed.

This is so fantastic! I was expecting to hear bad things and everyone is sharing WONDERFUL things! Thank You!!

well im vegan and i just did a sudden change one day i was on the computer and saw some horrible stuff about animals and i told myself that the next day i would become vegan and ever since then i have been. And i feel GREAT seriously i feel helthy! after i eat a regular meal i always felt sick and tiard now when i eat i feel good and energized and im not as hungry all the time so i dont have to eat as much. and i know if i do eat a lot im at least eating helthy things. im not as tiard anymore and i dont get as many upset stomachs and head aces I really feel good!

Like Weregunnafight I went from omni to vegan overnight but I haven't really felt that different although I did lose some weight and I am thinking more clearly. My veganniversary is March 1st.

I've been vegetarian for a month and a half.
I'm already going through changes..
I lost some weight and my skin cleared up.
I feel a lot better and a lot healthier!

And, I've learned many new recipies
and before.. i didn't cook at all but i spend
more time in the kitchen now cooking.. and it's fun.

Good Luck! =]

nothing happened other than my period I cramped a lot the first time I had it since becoming a vegetarian. After that it never happened again and it's now better than when I ate meat.

nothing

Nothing. I do not miss anything meat related. I love vegie burgers, vegies, tofu, cheeses etc. (I am not vegan) There are so many choices out there to get all of your dietary needs that you just have to eat what you enjoy making sure you still have enough iron (leafy greens) and protein.

Well,I've been skinny when I started but I stay that way.
I don't know if it was like that before be when I gain pounds eating junk food I lose weight easier.
I'm less tired and feel really healthy.

Hm, i don't think i went through much. The only thing my body went through was being hungry a lot since i was new being a vegetarian. I got hungry and used to snack on sweets which made me gain some weight. But now i learned to add more fruits and vegetables to my diet and proteins, so my body is fine now.

i feel great. i take one a day vitiams and they really help :]

nuthin changed; i felt fine if not better;

meat is soo unhealthy.

I stopped eating turf meat (beef, poultry, pork, etc) last February but continued to eat seafood. I've always grown up eating meat at least four to five times a week but since I am not intaking the drugs and antibiotics from the meat I feel healthier and my body feels cleaner. I used to get the flu every summer - I didn't get it last year, and my menstruation period is shorter and lighter which may be a good thing for now. A friend of mine had warts that were stubborn to remove via laser treatments and after she stopped eating meat, they ALL disappeared within 6 to 8 months and never returned. The major issue that I have from not eating meat is that my iron count is low so I started taking multivitamins containing iron.
