What is the average height for a woman in america?

Im 5'6 and i live in So CAl.

I was amazed to find out that the average height is five foot nine and the average shoe size is size 9.

5'4"...and surprisingly the average weight is like 164 pounds....

The avg height I believe is 5'5

i'm not sure but most of the girls in my school they're around 5'2-5'3

I'm 4'8

but I would say the average is about 5'3

The average height for a woman in America is between 5ft4 and 5ft6. It is not 5ft7 or 5ft3 as other's have suggested. HTH.

Well, I am considered a wee bit above average and I am 5'7".

I'm 5'2". Average is little bit taller than me.

I'd say "5'6". I'd say it is going up though.

which is taller than most Asian woman whose average is
5'- 2". This is due to their genetic form and cold climatic
conditions which 'trigger' their growth in tallness.

I'm 5'8 and still getting taller but 5'7 is more common

but women age growing taller. the immigration of so many shorter women(asian, mexican, middle easterners ect have kept the average short) It is not unusual to see 6 ft women ever day in any market or mall.
