What's the difference between loving someone verses being in love with them?

I would love to know your view on this and if you have any experiences, please share as well.

For me loving someone means people like my parents, children, siblings, close friends etc. They all affect my emotions in positive ways, a warm fuzzy feeling that you feel from the inside. And if anything were too happen to them in a negative way it would absolutely gut me. But my emotions are different when it comes to my boyfriend. In the past I have questioned if I am "in" love with my boyfriend or if i just love him, we do have a long history together. The feeling I get with my boyfriend are all those warm positive fuzzy feelings and I know that if anything negative were to happen to him that it would absolutely gut me. But with him I also get these feelings that run from the top of my head all the way down to the tip of my toes!!! I realise from these feelings and emotions that I am indeed in love with this man

loving someone is unconditional, an undying thing. Like loving your husband, wife, mother and father and no matter what they do it will always remain with you and you will always keep them in your heart. Being inlove with some is more like infatuation, "getting caught up in the moment", "butterflies in the stomach" etc. This is the step before loving the person or breaking up with them. Like you can be married once and love your husband/wife but could have been inlove 5 times!
