What's the difference between seeing someone and dating someone?

I have seen people saying names like b*tch to women all the time while you can't say b*tch to someone's female dog because they can get mad if you do even you can't post this word here. why b*tch is so disrespectful word for women and on the other hand people love their female dogs more than any woman? If b*tch is bad how can a dog be good to keep?
