Leopard Gecko Tail Infection! Please help!? |

The best thing to do for her is go to the vet. This sounds really bad and should be handled by a professional. They have a more sterile place to do this and know what they are doing. They also have more medical equipment just in case something goes wrong. You should never pull off her tail. My leo had a bad shed and as a result has gotten a reeeeeeealy bad infection in her tail. I took her to the vets and they gave me an anti inflammatory cream which they said if it dosent work she will need get tail amputated. I got the cream a week ago and I apply it every day but her tail has gotten worse and worse! It's scabby and brown along the bottom with a gooey red raw skin underneath the scabbing that Is just peeling off everytime new scabb is made. The end has went black and her tail at the top is red raw. I really don't think the cream is helping and she had lost a lot of weight due to not eating. She showed little interest in food yesterday but she still didn't eat. So if I take her to the vets Again they'll aputate her tail and charge me 拢拢拢拢拢拢拢!! But could I just pull it off myself? I am prepared to pay the money but the vets will do the same thing, after all they wouldn't go to the length of cutting something off that just comes off when its pulled would they? I love all my animals so much and I want the best for them so this is just a suggestion. I wouldnt dare do anything without 100% research. If you guys thing it's bad idea I won't but I |

Snakes don't care. If your snake is fine with being handled by you, chances are it will be fine being handled by someone else. They aren't smart enough to bond with you. They have very simple ... That is a great thermostat. But, if you shop around (ebay, Craigslist, etc) you may beable to find one relatively cheaper. Wow, that's huge for that age, mine is 1 1/2 years old and is a little more than four feet long and eats a couple of small rats every 7-10 days. Have you been overfeeding it? By the way, snakes ... Well i really only see this working for clean eaters and woma pythons from what i have seen have fairly good feeding responses.So it probably won't work because odds are ounce the snake strikes and ... I would just stick to the thermostat. It is designed to work properly on its own and a rheostat could cause it to malfunction. Doubling up tends to make things worse ;) Both control the temperature ... 2 but it can live longer if you take good care of it and can live longer with the good diet,plenty of water and alot of love and care :)... Why don't you have a heat lamp on the cage? The basking area should be 100-110. The cool side should be 75-80. Also he needs a uvb bulb to produce vitamin D3... |
