What should i sell in my garage sale? |
I know that's a stupid question, but I've never held a garage sale before nor have I been to very many. I know old, unwanted things around the house are fair game..but what are the limitations to what I can sell? What about silly things like old socks (still in wearable condition)? And what are reasonable prices for things, without being too high or too low? The garage sale is in a month and I'm starting to mark things around the house now. Any other words of advice? Also, where would be a good place to find extra tables and shelves etc for the sale? probably not old socks or underwear, but definitely most types of clothing. People don't generally buy clothing at a garge sale unless it is vintage or retro or dress ups ! If you have things like that you could pile them up and make it a 50 cent fill a bag area. You can sell just about anything but just don't price stuff too high if you really want it to go. You have an idea of what you'll sell. GIVE AWAY anything in questionable condition. Place this stuff at the BACK of your property so the good stuff must be seen on the way back. Place a sign at the front that you're giving things at the back. |
