Glass skillets and sauce pans, How do you use them? |
If you love using them, please give me your hints about cooking with them, cleaning them, keeping food from sticking to them etc. Any advice or experience would be very much appreciated! I like glass cookware, I do not know why exactly but I have had both and my fiance broke my round glass baking dish I was extremely upset. I find my cakes are more even and cook evenly in the glassware. The glass skillets I use for chicken and pork. But I use others for beef. I like the glass sauce pans for sauces and gravy, it makes it easier to keep an eye on. And my veggies I use the glass cookware also. You can basically use as metal. Just make sure when you put it to heat that the fry pan is coated with oil first or that the saucepan contains liquid. Do not put your glass cookware directly into water when it is hot, wait for it to cool down or it could crack or in some cases shatter. Use a non-scratch sponge or washing cloth like a chore boy to clean. |
