What is the best way to make a vanilla chai. Starbucks style?

im tired of spending $4.30 for a canilla chai i would rather make it my self what is the best way to make it. i am willing to buy the ingredients from starbucks but i don't no what to get help me!!

Well if you want it Starbucks style you should go to Starbucks and get a Grande Chai Latte with 4 pumps of Vanilla. You total will be $3.50

However if you want to make it at home you can get all the same ingredients that Starbucks uses. At many of their shops they sell the Chai and the Vanilla syrup. In some nice store the will even give you a pump for the syrup. All you have to do is ask. And remember they are a just say yes company.

ask them.

GFIC Chai Latte is really good if you add some of the Vanilla drink they also make (the one w/ no coffee). There is also a brand called Oregon something - comes in a purple box that is good. Or, if you can find it - Mystic Chai. Found it at Sam's Club in a huge box - but it is really good, too.

If you have Kroger grocery store thier Private selection Vanilla Chai is better then starbucks. I have tried the GFIC ( internaional coffee ) one and it's not as good, too spicey for me. But check out the coffee aisle of your grocery store or mass merchanidiser, the kind you want is a latte, not just chai tea as that doesnt have the additional sugar and milky stuff that we like.. yummm meee

it is a regular Chai with vanillia syrup

Do this:
First prepare this powder, it will provide with chai for months:
* 100 grams powdered ginger
* 25 grams cloves
* 100 grams whole black peppercorns
* 60 grams cinnamon, broken small, or 40 grams ground
* 1/2 nutmeg, crushed
* 35 grams green cardamom pods
Combine all of the spices and blend well in an electric grinder.

Once you have powder do this:
* 1/2 cup water
* 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
* 3/4 teaspoon dried tea leaves
* pinch of chai mixture(the one you made)
* 1/2 cup milk

1. Boil water and milk.
2. Add sugar, tea leaves and mixture until the mixture becomes dark (about 5-10 minutes).
3. The longer you boil, the stronger the chai.
4. Strain into teacups to serve.

TO make it into vanilla chai add a drop of vanilla extract.
