Is uncooked chicked okay to eat is it's in a slow cooker for 6 hours? |
i put the chicken in the slow cooker with the ingrediants, then i realised that it said cooked chicked. took the chicken out and cooked it. then put in back in the slow cooker? am i okay? yes, as long as you cooked the other ingredients long enough to kill any bacteria from the raw chicken. yes i have. If you have cooked it for 6 hours, it should be ok... as long as it's not pink and everything around it has been cooked at a high enough temperature. If the chicken is fully cooked and it didn't sit out at room temp for a long time, then it's ok. If it has been cooked, there is no need to put it in the slow cooker, all your going to get is one ocercooked chicken. no pink or red go chow down. I'm not sure what you mean - you left the raw chicken in the pot for 6 hours and then took it out? Or you put everything in and then took the raw chicken out right away? Well, if its fully cooked and has no hard or pink meat then youre safe, it has to be white and fluffy, NO pink. Chicken isnt safe to eat raw so check before you eat it no u can get mad cow disease If you are worried, you can remove the whole dish to another oven safe dish and bake it for 30 minutes at 350. Did you then cook the chicken and the add it to other ingredients to cook for six hours? If so it will be all right. |
