What is your favorite grocery store to shop at?

My favorite grocery store is Kroger. They have good prices and great customer service.

"Whole Foods" (in California, and one in PORTLAND, OR), BUT THEY ARE QUITE EXPENSIVE, BUT GOooooooooooodddd !!

They are all over the San Francisco Bay Area, and carry wholesome foods, a GREAT, EXTENSIVE DELI, SALAD BAR, WONDERFUL BAKERY AREAS, WONDERFUL TYPES OF FRESH BREAD -- BUT ALL ARE 2 to 3 times a regular grocery store.

Still, if you feel like "treating yourself", or JUST WANT THE REAL, GOOD THING ITSELF, coffee, pastries or whatever, WHOLE FOODS IS GOOD !

So is COSTCO -- but you have to buy everything in BULK !
I don't always want twelve POPPYSEED MUFFINS, y'know ??!!!
Just one or two -- IMPOSSIBLE AT COSTCO !

i used to like whole foods, but not anymore for some reason maybe because the cooked food is really bad (toronto).

i like safeway.

When I lived in NJ it was A&P, it was clean and had good prices, here in Pick your nose PA I have a choice of walmart which doesn't carry enough brands and their meat sucks, Mr. Z's whose prices are way too high, or Shoprite who never has good produce and the store is filthy.

Wal-mart cheapest place above Publix and Albertson's.
