How do you stop yourself from eating when your not really hungry? |
I notice that i nibble on food that is just there... like if i'm at home and bored but i'm not hungry i will automatically look in the fridge. how do you stop that or make yourself think that your really not hungry? when you eat sweets and foods with a lot of carbohydrates in them, it causes your pancreas to create a lot of insulin in your system, which causes you to think your are hungry. you wont have these cravings to eat if you slack up on your carb and sweet intake. try it. I do this a lot too. The thing that works for me "when I remember" is, make some hot tea, or hot chocolate, or even a delicious coffee drink with some rich cream or gourmet flavor. The can be just as satisfying when you have the "urge to snack", or just feel bored. do some kind of activity, clean, word puzzles, read, and drink water it fills the space because your body need fluids try to eat something thats fat kind of calories Find something to do that will distract you away from the food stay away from the kitchen...drink a lot of water it will fill you up....go for a long walk when you get back you will hgave forgotten. play a video game(not recommended) lol any way I used to do these things all the time and I gained like 15 pounds...lokk at a magazine with skinny bitc&h*8es in it...lol that will make ypou not want to eat I just chew gum! =] you just have to hve self-control/self-discipline. million dollar question! There are several answers, a combination of them will work for you. I'm thinking that there are several reasons why we continue to eat when we're full: like many people, you seem to have problems sitting for periods with nothing going on with your hands. try picking up a book or some kind of puzzle magazine or maybe a handheld video game console. That happens to me too. I noticed to just stay in my room without food. Then eventually I won't see it and I won't think about it. great question!! i wish i had a good answer. I tend to drink a lot of water it keeps me feeling full so I don't nibble. I also try to occupy myself with things to do and not buy so much junk food to keep from snacking too much. I find myself hunting for a snack when I'm either thirsty, bored, or frustrated. So, when I catch myself standing in front of the fridge when I'm not really hungry, I'll have a drink of water or make a cup of tea, and then find something interesting and/or relaxing to do. Jigsaw puzzles are usually good at distracting me from food, or I'll take the dog out for a walk. drink plenty of water it will fill you up!!! set your food on rat traps, bolt your fridge together or just refill the fridge with only alcohol I dont know what your diets like so I can't really say but its usually something that your lacking like vitamins/minerals or else you could just be thirsty which also triggers hunger. Or if that doesnt work you could always just keep yourself really busy. |
