What is more important, living closer to family or work? |
If you've got a job in a city (and can't get a new one anywhere else), but it is approximately 2 hours away from all family members. Should I live near family and travel, or live closer to work? Thanks for your help. But could you also please comment on my other question as well, as it is directly related. The question is called... I'd personaly rather live closer to work. Reason being I drive to and from work at least once a day and that uses a lot of gas. Right now I live about 15 miles from work and it takes me about 20 minutes to get there but with gas costing $2.90 a gallon near me that gets costly. Most people go to work more than they go visit family. It's really only up to you to decide though. i agree Report Abuse this is easy. is family going to pay your bills? get a grip. is called weekends, holidays. its not that serious. you better go with the job its a no brainier. GodBless is it possible to go halfway. if not id stay close to family. that way theres always help there if u need it. just my opinion though i use to drive back and forth everyday almost as long i dont regret it. live closer to work...or you'll regret having a 2 hour commute everyday. You can see your family anytime and it'd be easier to travel 2 hours when you can make up your own schedule. well i would move kinda in the middle and go to work but u dont have to go visit ur family everyday so like just 1 or 2 times a week is good.. That depends on what you mean by Family. If you are married it would be best if your family unit to move so you would be closer to work. Driving 4 hours a day to go to work is horrible. If you are not married move to the city where you are going to work. Closer to work! Because u will hate it to get up earlier just because u have a long ride to go to work!!! it all depends on what your priority is. if your priority is your family then i suggest you live near them and if your priority is to pursue your career, then do otherwise. however, if you live nearer to work, never forget to keep the communication lines open between you and your family. It depends on how close you are and want to be to the family members. |
