What are good fun nice ways to do these things?

I am blessed but I am also stressed and I dont have the monetary means to spend money all over the place and I am OK with that. Can anyone give me some good suggestions on how to have fun and do nice things for myself spending very little or no money at all? What are good fun simple pleasures can you reccomend?
. I actually have some free time for myself which does not happen often. I could use some creative and new ideas. Thanks all. e4g

It's always have fun to have a homemade spa day and pamper yourself. Soak in a tub full of nice hot water to unwind and relieve stress. You can buy bath salts, bath fizzies, and bath crystals at dollar stores and places like WalMart for very cheap prices. These will make your skin nice and soft and the water will smell good. You could even add a few tea bags or a handful of rose petals to the water. The tea bags soothe the skin and they actually also help to kill bacteria that cause odor. (Tea si great for soaking feet for this reason). Play some soothing music and just relax for a while. After you get out of the tub, slather your body with lotion. Because the wam water opened your pores, your skin will soak up a lot of moisture. Put on some comfy, but cute, clothes and paint your toenails and fingernails. You'd probably be surprised at how much more relaxed pampering yourself makes you feel.

I'm glad for you.Sometimes with all the chaos in our daily lives we forget to make time for ourself. We seem to forget we are mere mortals without superpowers. Report Abuse

Well if you can sew, you could always pull apart old clothes and make new outfits from them.

When was the last time you had time to read a good book? If you have a local museum or arts centre you could go to those. Our town has both.Local high school may offer special interest courses where you could learn a new skill or improve on an old one.Take a long .hot soak in the tub, maybe some scented candles and read some of that book I suggested you get. Get some supplies from a dollar store and there are many crafts you could do.Of course the supplies may not be top of the line but they are good enough for beginners. You'd be surprised what you can find there. If you're interested in scrap booking you can get things such as paper, borders, stickers (all acid free) etc. at the dollar store.I hope this gives you some ideas.

Take a trip to a big city, or the beach

Treat yourself to either a manicure, or pedicure or massage. That will help you lessen your stress because your laid back enjoying the pampering

These are some ways I pamper myself on my days off:

1. Go to the beach and read a book or nap.
2. Get a massage at the local cosmotology institute or community college. Look for the massuse classes. They offer massages for cheap because the students have to practice! They also offer cheap haircuts and colour. Maybe a new "you" would be entertaining!
3. Grab a dvd and your favorite take out (thai for me!) and veg out in front of the tele. Start a fire in the fireplace if it's still a bit nippy outside.
4. I like going to museums and aquariums.
5. Take the camera out and take pictures. I took a walk and took amazing pictures of my surroundings and framed them. Not only did they look gorgeous on film, but they looked great on my wall!

I recommend laughter. It releases endorfins, which help you to instantly relieve stress and feel happy. Get together with friends and family to watch a funny movie or comedian. Go to youtube.com and type "funny" in the search box - that could keep you busy for hours. I love the show called "Just for laughs," for a candid camera type of humor. I also love to watch clips of my favorite comedians like Pable Francisco, George Lopez, Jim Carrey, and Dunham (a ventriloquist). You could also just get together with your friends for a night in joking around and having fun.

Take a hot bath, go out with a friend for ice cream, walk to a park on a nice day and just hang out and watch people, go to a bar and find guys to buy drinks for you, play fetch with your dog, if you can get friends to go with you anything can be fun

Honey, I am often in the same boat. I find lots of pleasure in going out to breakfast or lunch by myself. I enjoy watching others while eating. It is also interesting to find a good seat in the mall corridors at times, and watch the people go by. Eat a pretzel while sitting there. I also like to browse thru thrift stores. What I find especially rewarding to do is volunteer work at the Salvation Army thrift store here. I take care of all the donated books, pricing and shelving them. I cannot tell you how this has enriched my life. Occasionally I also help them with the donated clothing items. You could also do light volunteer work at your local hospital. Blessings to you, my friend. Volunteer work is great at relieving stress.

I dunno what your time is like, but I always found gardening very relaxing. Its fun to raise up a tiny seed to a full grown plant and someday have a delicious tomato sandwich from your own garden.
