What is the main purpose for a woman to shave her pubic hair?

Is body hygiene the primary reason or is it the erotic feeling that comes with a shaved pubic area?

I did it originally as a dare, but I have kept "down there" shaved for three years now. For me, it's more hygienic and I feel more feminine. Yes, it DOES enhance the feelings also but I would not recommend doing so just for that. It requires shaving every other day and being VERY careful so you don't nick or cut yourself.

I just do it because it feels more clean to me...I just never really liked having pubic hair..but that is just my preference

some women do it for hygene, they think stink gets caught up in the hair. Others do it for the erotic aspect, nobody wants pubes in their teeth ;)

well the vagina sometimes get irritated if hair gets unruly and can cause discomfort. plus yes it looks better and feels better

Shaving down there is not an erotic feeling. I think it is primarily for hygiene, however, men seem to take a better liking to the area shaved and/or nicely manicured. I also think it is better when you are wearing panties or tight pants. WHo wants to see a bush coming out the side of their panties? Who wants to see a big puff in your pants down at your "V"?

Its just much nicer all around to have it trimmed and manicured at least.

I just like the way it looks when its totally bare and freshly waxed. Some people are into the huge bush down there...but not me...it just kind of grosses me out. I expect the same from my partner...I'm not going to go down town if there's any hair! EEEEW!

i do it for the sake of my spouse, i am sure he wouldn't want hair everywhere in his teeth....plus i do think i feel a lot fresher

The amount of hair is directly proportional to a girl's testosterone (male hormone) levels. The most feminine girls have very little. Most guys prefer their girls to be as feminine as possible, so the barer the better. Most girls don't want to have masculine features.
