What is the difference between a Roy Rogers and a Shirley Temple?

Two non-alcoholic drinks, what is the difference? Aren't they both just soda with grenadine?

roy rogers is coke with grenadine

shirley temple is ginger ale and grenadine

have a nice day.

i think the shirley temple has a cherry in it and the roy rogers has a lime, but i don't remember.

Shirley Temple : -
A non-alcoholic drink which is half orange juice and half club soda, with a shot of grenadine poured slowly in so it sits at the bottom until you mix it in, giving the drink a nice sunset effect. The drink of choice for youngsters who want to collect those little plastic swords and paper umbrellas that come with cocktails.

Roy Rogers : -

A non-alcoholic drink made by adding a shot of grenadine and a maraschino cherry to a glass of cola. Popular with little kids at weddings.

Yes, but the difference is the soda!

Roy Rogers has cola, and Shirley Temple has ginger ale.

a roy rodgers is coke with grenidine and a shirley temple is 7-up with grenidine

both contain grenadine. Roy Rogers is with cola. Shirley Temple is with sprite/7UP

The original Roy Rogers was;
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon grenadine
6 ounces gingerale

Restaurants got the 'ol that was too costly idea and since gingerale was not often found in the fountain drink machine they altered it to colsa & grenadine. Same for Shirley Temple.

1/4 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon grenadine
6 ounces lemon-lime soda

It's always about the money.
