What is the possibility of marrying your high school sweetheart?

My boyfriend and I have known each other since freshman year and that is when we first started liking each other. (we met in spanish and in debate) Now it's our junior year and we have expressed our love for one another. We have discussed college, we plan to continue our relationship through it and hopefully after as well. We truly love each other and we have discussed the commitment of love.

Well after 15 years I'm still with mine...even though we've had our rough patches, I've never loved her more than I love her right now.

However I would caution you to not get too seriously too soon. You have no idea how going away to college can open your eyes. It really is a big world out there. Not saying that TRUE love can't win out, because I will in the end, but you need to be aware that time can change peoples feelings.

I'd say you have a 50% chance. Alot of changing and growing occurs in college, and sometimes couples grow apart. I was so much in love with my high school sweetheart but we grew apart and I have found (many years later!) a new and more mature love with a wonderful man!

Good luck!

You are way too young and you are not nearly finished maturing and developing. enjoy this first blush of love freely so that you have shining memories of it. The odds are not with you however. Marrying your high school sweetheart does indeed happen more than a little but the for the most part such romances run out of steam and the changing lives of the two involved most often move apart.

I married my high school sweetheart. We started dating when I was 15 and he was 16. Got married 6 years later, and on July 20th, we will celebrate 34 beautiful, married years together. It is possible. If you're really in love with each other, your love will continue to grow until your ready to make the committment of spending the rest of your lives together. Good luck with all your future holds.

I married mine! Been with him 8 years, married 6. Good luck!

if it is meant to be it will be but you will have many challenges to overcome like what if you don't get accepted in the same college. you are growing up if you two learn how to grow up together and its true love anything is possible . what a romantic story i hope it works out for you both . it is possible though anything is possible. remember that.

every possibility. just take things slowly and see how things go. i wish you well and good luck.

i married mine, we got together when i was 14, married when i was 18, and have been married for two years now

It's very possible! I married my junior high sweet heart..we lost contact for 11 years and then met up again at a club and now here we are married for 10 years with two cute kids.

Guess it depends. Me and my hubbie met in 8th grade and were friends for 2 years and then dated for 4 years and engaged for 2 years. Best friends make the best spouses b/c once the newly wed wears off you need to be with someone you will have fun with and get along with for years to come. Just don't rush it. Finish college and stay focused on getting that done before jumping into marriage. Marriage is still work and you don't want the stress of college and finances.

Well I married mine, but in Tokyo, she was a Japanese schoolgirl and I was a foreign exchange student.

my parents met in jr high school & dated n then got married. 46 years later they are still very nuch in love & still married! :) I met my husband in high school & we were married for 20+ years.. so ya never know....

he is just trying to get in your pants
