What are some clever ways to get individuals to donate used shoes?

I plan to start a resale shoe business that will donate its profit to an organization that will help sexually abused children. And wanted to know how I could go about getting people to donate new or their gently used shoes. I have a few ideas of my own. But I would like ideas that will get many people to respond and make them keep responding.

My ideas are:

Have the local high school student councils have a "shoe drive"
Put a full page ad in the local paper
Put a "Donate your old shoes box/stand" at local shoe stores
And Flyers and more Flyers

P.S. I know this doesnt belong in this category but to get different suggestions I have to post in many different areas.

I dont have a shoe fetish and if you are scared someone will want to do creepy things to your shoes it's simple dont participate.

It seems that you should be scared that maybe some man will wear your old dresses or that some creep will use your old toys to lure a young child.

I dont mind if you feel that way but just be consistent with your feelings.

have a shoe party where all you freinds bring in there old shoes. make it special have ameal and learn about the charity that uses them

Make flyers with door handles and put them on everyones door. There are lots of people who have shoes that they no longer want. Put your telephone number so they can call you and you can get them. Make the flyer with a saying that says something clever like "Donate your shoes so we can walk all over sexual preditors. Make sure you put down something that states that you are doing it for a good cause. Make the flyer on your computer and put two hole punches at the top put some string or some yarn in the hole punches and make a knot so you can put them on the door handle. Good luck.

I have tried something like this myself. Full page are very expensive unless you get the page donated.
So:
Walk up to people in the street, telle them who you are and simply ask them. When they say yes, hand them a flyer

my moms boss did this summer project thing this past year it was where you would send somthing out to someone u know and they would send it 2 someone else and each person would give a pair of flip flops or some kind of shoes, then in the end they would send it back 2 u after they all got the letter with the names on it of who were participating. I do not know the result of what she got but u might wanna give this a try.
