Why are men embarassed to have others know they listen to their wives?

Why do they think its Emasculating?
Shouldn't they be proud that they have a wife who guides them?

I think your house is a MESS! After that whole question about you thinking your 17, almost 18 year old daughter should MARRY that 46 year old "man" and now these questions about you being your husband's mother. Good night, as bad as my parents were, I'm thankful I was their daughter versus yours.
A MAN needs to feel respected and like he is the leader-not the owner or boss, but his role is the "head" of the house. When he has a mother wife, it's shameful because it says to everyone, including the husband, that he can't do his job. You ARE emasculating him, your are treating him like an inept baby who needs mommy telling him how to do everything-do you also approve of what he can or can't wear in the morning before he goes off to work? I'm actually seriously asking, not being a smart allack...

Again, your whole family life/house sounds like a major Dr Phil episode... I think your whole family needs help.

There is no problem in men listening to their wives as long as it is a two way street. A way should not guide them as you stated, they should love them for the way they are. Put yourself in his shoes for a change. If your really did do that, you would not be asking this question. Remember men and women are different. They should not be controlling. Stop it okay and you and your husband will have a better relationship than you do now!

What's up with the power trip Jenni? You just asked this question. As stated before, a husband is not a child. Wives shouldn't act like mothers to them. No wonder men leave these domineering women and seek women who make them feel like real men. Jeez.

If you dont stop being so controlling of your husbands life you going to be without him someday cause eventually he is gonna get sick of it and say "goodbye"

IM SORRY BUT
IS Emasculating

because it IS emasculating to be with a woman who tells you when you can or can not take a piss. i feel sorry for your husband........

I dont have a clue what you are talking about.

No it bruises their ego's!

you must have a hubby that doesnt listen to you

I wish I knew... My husband is the same way.

i think it boosts their ego!!!
