What is the best makeup product for African American women in their late 30's with oily skin?

Every product I tried (liquid foundations, powders, blotters, mattifying gels) I still get the oily forehead, cheeks and skin within 20 minutes after application. I keep putting powder on but then I get all dusty or cakey. PLEASE HELP ME!

My friends have sung the praises of MAC and Estee Lauder. Go to these makeup counters in your local department store and see what they suggest. I've also heard good things about Mary Kay but you would need to find a good representative to give you advice. Ask your friends if anyone knows about an upcoming Mary Kay party.

Mac have alot of makeup for darker skined ladys and its really easy to mach em up with your own skin tone. try mac blot powder. it stops the skin from looking oily

try bare essentials/bare minerals - LOVE 'em!!

I would recomend two products:
1. Arbonne's "Intelligence" personalizer. It's a plant and mineral based powder that goes on BEFORE your moisturizer or makeup, it really helps.
2. Arbonne's Mineral powder makeup. Great, light coverage in many shades. No heavy and greasy looking. Similar to bare minerals, but half the price. Each order of it comes with a free Kabuki brush( they are expensive to buy). I have order info in my profile..jus click my name.
The products are delivered straight to your door! You can shop online, or I'd be happy to send you a catalogue.
All of Arbonne's products are botanically based. Wonderful, helpful ingredients. It's the lates craze!

Try mineral makeup. It's basically a powdered pigment that you apply with a natural brush and buff on to your skin, or you can mix it with your moistureizer and make it a cream foundation. There are lots of brands, but some have less junk in them than others. If a brand you are looking at has bismuth oxychloride, that's a bad one.
It is naturally oil controlling and it lasts all day. You can even fall asleep in it and wake up without your face being damaged. And, it's really easy to mix shades to get your perfect tone. Lots of mineral makeup users get better skin once they start using the makeup. Just make sure you use an animal hair makeup brush, synthetic brushes don't hold the pigment right and it ends up blotchy. Generally the brushes are expensive, but I've found some deals out there. What you want is a flat top natural brush.
I use this stuff, and I have to tell you, it's awesome. It looks extremely natural and feels like I'm not wearing anything at all. Usually I break out from makeup, but not this stuff.

My African American Clients like the Creme to Powder by Mary Kay the best. BUT, they ALL use the MK Oil Control Lotion 3 before they put their make-up on. This lotion is barely a moisterizer, but will balance your skin and help control oil all day. Then, if you do get oily during the day, use the oil mattifier. It is a lotion that you dab on over your make-up and it will dry your face like you put powder on it. That way you don't look cakey by the end of the day.

Also, make sure you are using a good cleanser twice a day, and an oil free hydrating gel at night (if you skip moisture, your skin will think it is dehydrated and make even MORE oil).

Use the system for a week and you will see results. But, like with most products, it will take a week for you to see the most results.

I have oily skin also, and I use MAC's blot powder. They have really good makeup, and I also use their Oil Control Lotion, which I think works really well. Also, you don't want to totally cover and suffocate any skin type, but especially oily because then you do get that cakey look. MAC also has tinted moisturizers in a huge variety of shades, those are great because you get coverage that looks natural and doesn't look cakey ever! In combo with the blot powder you should be ok, you can always try a sheer loose powder, and put it on lightly just for a nice finishing effect.

You should go to one of their counters or stores, but you can also talk to a MAC artist online if you want some answers/advice and can't get to the mall. Good luck!!

blue lip-stick

clean and clear oil asorbing sheets should get rid of the oil and shine.
Covergirl best stuff to use and they have a blue powder that controls the shine ....
