Something living in my ceiling - 3rd floor apartment.? |

Sorry! I dropped an M&M in the heater vent last August and I've been chasing it ever since! The nails really hurt sometimes. (Sorry about the screaming) Oh Wait! There it is! Got to go! Since around the beginning of fall I've been hearing scratching noises in my ceiling in my bedroom. It usually occurs late at night, waking me up, but sometimes during the day. Sometime ago, through googling, I came to the conclusion it must just be some mice, squirrels, or something along those lines... but as of lately I've been hearing screaming/whining on top of the scratching (they sound independent of each other). It most definitely is not the screaming/whining of a human being and is most definitely coming from above on the other side of my ceiling. I also hear what sounds like someone rubbing their finger very hard against my wall directly behind my head when I am laying down (other side of the wall is another bedroom with nothing inside).... doesn't exactly sound like vermin to me anymore. The only thing I can think of is a cat but I honestly doubt it. I live on the third floor(highest floor) of an apartment building relatively high up with no trees or power lines that come close to the roof. I make the noises sound mundane but honestly sometimes it sounds like I need an exorcist more than an exterminator lol! Any ideas? Do squirrels whine or scream when they are dying lol? I have no intentions of doing anything about this other than ignoring it, I just wanted to know what it could be. I live in Pennsylvania if it helps. it occurred to me that I am making this apartment sound like a tweaker pad... it is a nice apartment for what it's worth haha :) Oh! maybe a raccoon? do those make noises vocally? It is the sound of roof rats. Yes they make a squall sound. They will eat there way into your apartment. it sounds like you either have squirrels or even a raccoon. You know how I would resolve this issue? I would move. Like today. This is the sound of an angry Squirrel. bats make high pitched sounds U crazy for living thereee. Ha. Thats odd and quite creepy.......... |
