How do I remove the smell from mild smoke damage that lingers in a couple rooms? |
Recently we came home & our pellet stove decided it would fill the house with smoke. I think we caught it faily quick but there seems to be a lingering odor in a couple rooms. How do I get rid of this smell? You could try to wash the walls with TSP (it is found at hardware and painting stores). If washing the walls does not work, you will have to wait and see if it air out on its own or paint the walls and sealing with a sealer then repaint over. Also the smell may be in woods, fabrics, or carpets. Those may need to be cleaned also. Clean all surfaces. Fabrics that cannot be washed spray with fabreeze. Everything else wash thoroughly. |
