Why do most older woman have short hair?

Why is it most older woman have short hair is it because they liek it or is it because of some type of hair loss.

I know this older woman that has her head almost scalped.
She has arthritis so bad that she can't raise her arms to fix
her hair. Maybe a lot of elderly people have good reasons
for having short hair. Also if they do have longer hair people
sometimes looks at them as if they are wrong to have it that
way. My granny has very long hair, but braids it and puts it into
a bun.

I think it's a mix of both, but also gray hair is much more difficult to manage and doesn't grow as well or look as healthy when it's long.

I think it looks better on older women and its easier to take care of

Because we are tired of spending 20 minutes every day just washing our hair and curling it.

It's sooooo much easier and freeing!

It is easier to take care of

short hair cuts, makes an older woman look much more feminine and younger. Long hair makes older woman look like a witch. And they like shorter hair because it is much easier to keep groomed.

My grandmother says it's becauseshe likes it( she has short hair) it's easy to maintain, doesn't really get ruined, never has to spend time on doing hair if going some hair. It' also because of some hair loss.

because longer hair draws older womens faces down and shorter hair makes them look younger and less face sagging and easier to manage also

because its cute on them and they to weak to take care of their long hair

Its probably a mix of both. They like it and because of hair loss. And because of gray hair. When you have gray hair its easier to manage when you have short hair. Also it looks healthier when it is short, because if it is long it looks unhealthy and its way harder to manage. Hope i helped!! =)

because they loose hair, its more brittle, it gets hot in the summer, its not as strong with hair dye, and its much easier to handel.
