Why on Earth or Heaven would a woman ever like to keep long hair?

I think it is one of the most tiring things to do for a woman to spend hours washing her hair, combing them, setting them and going to the HairDressers to perm them or what ever they do with it. And since it is said that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder - I think if a man loves a woman - he would love her with the same intensity regardless of the length of the hair ....

I beleive thats true that if a man loves a woman, he would love her regaurdless of the length of hair.. Ii have seen some men who have seperated from a relationship because their partner cut their hair.. In the situations that I have witnessed, the men felt it changed whole look of the individual and the physical aspect is what he was attracted too to begin with.. The long hair was part of the package deal, not necessarily the inner beauty..
You seem like a person who can appreciate a woman for her inner beauty and I think thats wonderful.. But as a woman, with long hair I can tell you, it is only difficult to maintain depending on my own standards of beauty.. I wash, blowdry and style my hair and it only takes 30 minutes. If I am having a lazy day, I clip it up and it still looks cute with no effort at all.. I don't look for perfection, but hair looks great after its styled and I feel great when I look my best..

I like my girlfiends long hair but she wont ever let me stroke it so I guess I dont like it

Hair is a way to express your feelings, if your tired and don't want to do anything you can let your hair a little free but have it pulled back, if you're feeling flirty, we can leave it down or whatever we feel like.

Believe it or not, a lot of men love women with long hair, it's very sexy! But from a womans point of view, we keep the hair because we know a lot of people are a little envious of it!

u can do much more w/ longer hair than short hair

Short hair is more high-maintenance than long hair. It takes me a lot less time to care for my hair when it is long than it did when it was short.

Long hair does not have to be shampooed as frequently, nor does it need the attention of a beautician as often. I just wad or braid it up and I'm outta here.

Hair is hair, and like many here have said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder- and those with long hair have their reasons for keeping it. I sometimes wish that some 'beholders' had manners and would keep their grubby paws (or their opinions) to themselves, but that's just me.

my hair is long because I DON'T like to go to hairdressers or salons of any sort. I don't want to have to keep up on a "style." I wash it in the shower (less then five minutes total) and go. My hair is stick straight and thick and the most I do with it is stick in a ponytail or bun when I want it off my neck.

My hair is almost waist length. I don't spend any time or money on it, and it always looks awesome, thank you very much!

Your right about a man loving a woman regardless of the length of her hair, but I'll also tell you this: I love long hair on a woman. So why shouldn't a woman have long hair if she wants to? Would you not like a woman just because she had a long hair?

Sir, it is a known fact that men like women with long hair..I'm talking all the way back to the Bible days..those women in the Bible wore long hair..

I can spend more time , I like pampering my self some days but its not alot more work, I found short hair more work.

maybe to please someone who said that you wear your hair too short.......but yet they fawn over some with short hair.....it doesn't matter anymore. hurt runs deep and flows hard in my heart......even when it comes to my hair..........sh-----------t!!!!!!!!!!!!...

it all depends on what u can handle. i like 2 keep mine longer in winter(4 warmth) and cut it in summer(so i can stay cool)

Ultimately that is for them to decide. As you have mentioned, "beauty lies in the eye of the beholder" yet the eyes of that beholder may not be yours.

The question and answer could have the same impact if a woman was bald.

I think it's because it makes them look beautiful and it looks pretty. Also it's a girl thing my hair is medium and i like it that way but girl that have LONG hair they like it and makes them look pretty.

I have long hair, but I don't fuss over it. Blow drying is about it.
